Ukulele Lessons online :
There are quite a few of these “Online Ukelele Lessons” out there on the Internets which are helpful. But here, I’ll add my own personal ideas along with information regarding some of the great online sites to help out the beginners who want to learn about playing ukulele.
When I first bought my ukulele I was completely unprepared, but I had the benefit of having some guitar background though. I went through some trial and error and learned about this instrument. Here, I’ll be mentioning all my useful tips that will give you a jump start when you begin playing the ukulele. Make sure to go through them thoroughly for enjoyable learning sessions every time you pick up your uke.
Get a decent ukulele.
This is the base and most important one when you are serious about wanting to learn playing the ukulele. There are some good ukuleles in the $100 range, but you can be 99% sure that a ukulele under $50 is not that of good quality. The main problem you will face is that it won’t be able to stay in tune. So be alarmed! Spend some time researching to get the right ukulele for you.
Know how to hold your ukulele.
This may sound weird but it will help you a lot in the future! Take a few minutes and try holding ukulele, either sitting or standing. When you are sitting, you can let the ukulele body rest on one of your legs and relax your strumming arm on the top of the ukulele. In this way the ukulele neck should “float” in the air.
When you are standing you can grip it against your chest and hold it there with your strumming arm. All this may take some patience and practice but it will pay off in the end because that way you will pick up your ukulele and play, even when walking around. I think that the strap is unnecessary, which just adds weight to the ukulele
Small note: don’t hold it way too tight! The sound requires vibrating properly through the body.

Remember that the most important thing in learning ukulele is to be accurate instead of being quick! Make sure to get a clean sound with no muting and buzzing. Start with slow and easy songs which have easy chords and which doesn’t have much chord changes. Gradually speed up and go for more difficult songs.
Record yourself practicing and listen back to it.
According to the famous Ukulele Hunt (maintained by Alistair Wood). It’s difficult to focus on play and then listen to yourself at the same time. Quite often just noticing when you’re doing wrong. is enough to fix a problem. It can make you skill playing in front of the mike – making it less of a big deal when you plan to record yourself properly.
